Driver Information:
- Driver must be 18 years of age and hold a valid Driver’s licence. This is an insurance requirement and not up to any organizer or Fair board Representative.
- No alcohol or drugs in the Pits, Holding areas, or ring. All drivers are expected to be sober through entirety of event. No Refunds for failure to comply
- Each Driver, Pit Crew/ Mechanic must sign waiver at registration desk.
- All cars competing must pass inspection on the day of the event.
- $30 ENTRY FEE
- The Campbellford Fair, Directors and Members of Campbellford-Seymour Agricultural Society, and Organizers will not be responsible for any damages, injuries, or Personal Liability incurred by Participants of the event. All drivers and pit members will be required to sign a waiver before participating.
Eligible vehicles:
Any 1980 and newer 2wd passenger car with a factory 4-cylinder engine.
NO AWD, convertibles, hearses, limousines, SUVs, crossover SUVs, trucks permitted.
Only drivers, safety crew, and officials permitted on the track before, during and after the event no exceptions.
Equipment required to compete on track:
- Fire extinguisher with gauge in working order within reach of driver.
- Helmets (no motocross style with visor), safety glasses, long sleeves and pants, closed toe footwear.
- Working brakes at all times during competition.
- No metal fan blades used for cooling.
- Doors must remain closed at all times on the track any open doors result in DQ
- Seat belt required to latch and stay latched during competition.
- One fire rule, any fire results in DQ
Car preparation:
- All glass removed from vehicle, includes broken glass in trunk and doors.
- All loose metal bolts screws removed from inside vehicle (Clean your car out before you arrive at the track)
- All flammable plastics, carpet, interior, bumper covers removed. (Dash may stay in vehicle driver’s choice).
- Drivers door protection mandatory. (outside door plate, inside door bar, skinning door, combination of above, absolutely no wood protection allowed)
- Trailer hitch in its entirety removed
- Airbags must be removed, not disabled removed.
- Door / roof numbering mandatory must be large enough to be seen and read from the announce booth.
- One 12 v car battery permitted. Must be moved to the passenger floor area, securely fastened to the floor using a metal box, container, frame. If it moves at all if it moves at all it fails.
- Battery cables not to be run with fuel lines, must be separated for fire safety.
- Fuel tanks can be left under vehicle provided it has good condition mounts, straps, and tank does not leak. Add 1 extra ratchet strap to ensure tank stays in place. Fuel lines must be free of rot and leaks.
- Fuel tanks can be mounted to cross bar / or floor provided it is secure in place, if it moves it does not pass, if it moves on the track DQ
- Metal tanks only if mounted inside car.
- Batteries and fuel tanks inside vehicle must be covered to enter ring with non-flammable material, Floor mat, Air bag material.
- Fuel lines must be leak proof and run inside vehicle, leak proof fittings, and high-pressure lines must be used.
- Electric fuel pumps must have safety shut off switch within reach of officials from outside the vehicle. Must actually kill the pump.
- Hood and trunk optional. If on vehicle hood must open for inspection. Trunk may be fastened by chain, wire, welded 3×3 plates no thicker than 1/4”, in 6 places. If fastened closed at time of inspection a 10”x10” hole must be cut in the top of the trunk lid.
- Hood fastened in 8 places. Wired, bolted, angle with bolts allowed. Each bolt counts as 1. 2 hood holdowns must be wire or chain around front bumper.
- Drivers door may be welded solid. All other doors maximum of 6 plates 3×3” or chained, wired, seat belt material. (remember if a door opens your day is done)
- Rear bumper not mandatory but if in place must have 2 places wired to trunk or body, must be at least 3 strands of wire.
- Front bumper, any rebar bumper, not loaded not capped, must be able to see inside of it.
- Front bumper can be mounted any way you like provided you stay within the first six inches of original frame. Shortening allowed but no added metal can extend beyond 6 inches of the original frame mount. Outside plate, inside tube, 4-inch kickers your choice, but only to hold the front bumper on.
- Outside door plate permitted on both front doors maximum 60” long, 12” wide and 1/4” thick. Bolted to doors only, maximum 8 bolts no larger than 3/4” bolts, no sharp corners or bolts sticking out. Drivers door must have protection. No c channel or Angle for outside plates.
- Roll bar cage can box in the driver, door bars cannot extend more than 6 inches past the back of the driver’s seat. Gtp recommended but cannot be any more than 3 inches from the fuel tank. Fuel tank must be mounted within 6 inches of the post to post bar if inside the vehicle. Do not mount your tank or post to post back further to abuse rule.
- Dash bar permitted, cannot touch firewall, door bars must be welded to seat bar and dash bar not to floor. No down bars, no kickers to frame. This is driver protection only. 1 roll over bar off of post to post permitted.
- 1 bar, chain, wire must come across windshield area top to bottom, mandatory, bolted in place if bar or angle iron. A and h style allowed.
- Radiator must be mounted in factory location, no screening allowed, factory ac condenser allowed. Rad must be drained of coolant, must not leak prior to entering track. Overflows must point down and stay pointing down.
- Trans cooler allowed but lines and cooler must stay in engine compartment.
- Suspension must remain stock and have movement in front and back.
- Headers permitted but must point straight up if used.
- 1 mount may be added to front frame for reinforcement but 1 per side and all others must remain stock.
- Engine mounts recommended to have reinforcement, chain, welded
- Exhaust behind manifold (cat) must be removed from under vehicle, no full exhausts.
- Tires, and p rated tire air filled allowed on drive tires, Doubles allowed, no triples, must be air filled. Rears may be trailer, temporary, but must be air filled, no solids, no rims without tires.
- Previously damaged steering tire rods, control arms allowed to be repaired. Not excessively, repaired not strengthened.
- Frame repair to previously ran cars allowed, must be visible and painted orange. Damage must be able to be seen. Take a photo if from rust before you repair. No excessive repairs, just to bring it back to safe stock strength.
Officials decision Final. We reserve the right to reinspect at any time. Cut and drill allowed.
